Municipal Development in South West Serbia Project - UNPD

In late 2009, for the UNDP, Upper Quartile supported the Municipal Development in South West Serbia project (the PRO project). PRO was designed to increase the operating capacity of municipal development agencies in South West Serbia, including the cities of Kraljevo and Novi Pazar. Each city wished to develop Industrial Park and Business Incubator facilities and our role was to provide advice and training on testing the feasibility of such facilities, as well as how to develop and manage them.

Working with our Serbian partners, we prepared workbooks and training materials, identified good practice from elsewhere, consulted with the agencies and municipal authorities, made site visits and delivered training modules to the staff involved. Each agency is now better equipped to assess the market, appraise potential sites and appoint developers and managing agents.
